Metz. Women's Sport: "There is a lack of changing rooms and training slots."

As every year, the elected officials of the city council have allocated grants to sports associations to help them launch their seasons. For the start of the school year, the boost amounts to just under €360,000. This gave Deputy Mayor Anne Stémart the opportunity to request more resources for women registered in Metz clubs, who are often deprived of locker rooms and dedicated fields.

More and more girls are donning their cleats or sneakers in Metz clubs. " At Metz Magny handball , we have 240 members, 20% of whom are girls," confirmed Anne Stémart, assistant for school affairs and coordinator of municipal action in Sablon and Magny.

But at this club, "they have neither a locker room nor a training slot." At RS Magny, where 120 women are registered, the problem is identical : "No locker room! No training ground!" the elected official chanted. This...
